Richard Edwards delivers presentation to expert witnesses

Entitled ‘A pathway to excellence for experts in the injury sector’ Richard set out three steps that expert witnesses could take to enhance their credibility with the courts and instructing parties. Richard outlined how his experience over two decades in serious and catastrophic injury litigation had given him insights into how the courts weighed expert evidence, and the most effective way to deploy it for the benefit of his clients.

Richard started by focussing upon the procedural landscape in which expert witnesses operate, before discussing conferences with lawyers and then reviewing interactions with instructing parties. By approaching these three aspects with care, Richard described how expert witnesses can become trusted, valued and respected by those they deal with.
